Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Donna was born on October 19, 1951 in Moberly, MO the daughter of Joe Thomas and Mary Lou (Lewis) Teel, both of whom preceded her in death.
She worked at several places for long periods of time—she worked for the VA Hospital in Long Beach, CA for 19 years, in the private sector for a urologist in California for 15 years, and finally in Columbia she was a Patient Liaison at Boone Hospital for 13 years. She was an avid reader of all kinds of books, and enjoyed playing games like pitch, dominoes, croquet and bowled in leagues for several years. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Gary Thomas Wright and fiancé Liza McDermott of Lakewood, CA; her aunts, Shirley Sapp of Lake of the Ozarks, Ann Teel of Columbia, and Ruby Teel of Columbia; and numerous cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Teel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
