Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25th at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
Dorothy was born June 28, 1924 in Sturgeon, MO to James L. and Mildred White Sims. She graduated from Ashland High School and later attended the University of Missouri. Dorothy was married to Carl B. Holt, who preceded her in death in 1992. Dorothy was employed by Stephens College, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Missouri United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a fifty year member of the Boone Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Lindel C. “Bert” Holt (Diana) of Pittsfield, IL; one daughter, Katherine Murphy Quinn of Holt Summit; two step-daughters, Pat Atteberry (Jack) of Harrisonville and Nedra Moreau (Daryle) of Columbia; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missouri United Methodist Church.
