Private family graveside services will be later in Miller’s Chapel Cemetery.
She was born November 10, 1938 at Bothwell Memorial Hospital in Sedalia, MO to John and Lottie Shull Silsby. She lived her life in Missouri with the exception of nine years when the family lived in Germany where her husband, Earl, was with the Department of Defense. Following Earl’s death, in 2000, Christine settled in Columbia and enjoyed time with her grandchildren, Hussain, Layla, Alia, and Mia. She was an active bird watcher and a Master naturalist, spending time gardening and taking caring for her yard. Her daughter, Dr. Patricia Alafaireet and son Robert Curry survive her.
