

Ernest “Ernie” Lee Breedlove, 96, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. On November 17, 1928, Ernie was born on a farm in Northern Boone County to the late George M. Breedlove and the late Lena M. Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with Bill Bolden officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Ernie was united in marriage to Cora (Sims) Breedlove on October 3, 1987, she survives his passing.
He attended Hallsville schools until following his older brother, Roy, to enlist in the U.S. Army on December 1, 1946. Ernie had a long career working for multiple Columbia Chevrolet dealerships and could still remember several part numbers for various GM vehicles even after retirement. Ernie was a car enthusiast and restored at least one tractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing & boating (especially during summers at the Lake of the Ozarks).
Ernie will be greatly missed by his wife Cora; Children, Steven Breedlove (Terri), Michael Breedlove, Lisa Meyer, Janet Porch(Duane), Kelly Breedlove; stepdaughter, Lisa Windett (Jeff); grandchildren, Gabriel Meyer (Jessica), Corinne Pauley (Kevin), Cale Breedlove, Cullen Breedlove, Danielle Porch, Kristin Porch, Lauren Porch, Hunter Breedlove (Karissa), Kaitlyn Breedlove, Chelsea Deimel (Jared), Shelby Robinson (Haley); 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a loving extended family.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was proceeded in death by his brother, Roy Breedlove; his first wife, Elizabeth McGrath Breedlove; second wife, Sandra Cross Breedlove; and stepdaughter, Sherri Lynn Meeks.
