Fred was born on December 7, 1936, in Vida, Missouri, the son of Wallace and Hazel (Getz) Horn, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on June 29, 1957, in Rolla to Wanda Shultz, who survives at the home.
There were many things that Fred was passionate about—playing golf, fishing and hunting, gardening and being outside. He always kept a well-manicured lawn. He worked as a plasterer/taper for over 50 years, and was a proud member of Painters Local #1185.
Besides his wife of over 61 years, he is survived by: three children: Pamela (Clifford) Montgomery of Columbia, Carmen (Dan) Duren of Clinton, and Wade (Judy) Horn of Fulton; three grandchildren: Austin, Ashley and Lane; one brother: James (Imogene) Horn of Rolla; a half-sister: Charlotte (Bill) Thompson of Texas. He was preceded in death by one son: Billy Gene Horn on June 13, 1959; one brother, Ray Horn; and one sister, Janet Faucett.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2409 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
