Geraldine Shelton

Services for Gerri will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gerri was born on March 9, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Paul Gifford and Ruth (Goldstein) Gifford. She was raised in Farmington, Missouri and attend Columbia College. On April 6, 1963, in she was united in marriage to Norman Shelton who preceded her in death last October.

Gerri was a gifted organizer! She organized promotional events for her various employers; being the first to arrive and the last to leave. She would organize gifts, flowers and food deliveries for any friend in need. She was past president of the Women’s Auxiliary where she put her special touch on all their important events. She loved taking care of others especially her husband Norman in his last months.

Gerri is survived by one son: Greg (Marsha) Shelton; one granddaughter: Ashley (Mike) Hansen; one grandson: Ethan Mackey; two great grandchildren: Caden Hansen; Brody Hansen; two brothers-in-law: Sam (Beverly) Shelton; Brian Shelton; one sister-in-law: Ruby Gifford and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother: Jim Gifford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia, or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
