Harry Elliot Smith, Jr (Scooter) of Columbia, Missouri passed away February 26, 2025 of cancer. Scooter was born in Columbia June 5, 1949 to Mabel and Harry Smith. Scooter graduated from Hickman High School and the University of Missouri. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity at Mizzou and a lifelong Tiger fan. Scooter served his country as a member of the Missouri National Guard. He worked in sales for many years. Scooter is survived by his daughter Haley Alexis Smith, his sister Judy Huff, nieces Kelly McLane and Laura Shearer and great-niece Lane Shearer.
A celebration of life will be held on March 19 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. .
