

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 9-11 am at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Herbert was born on August 28, 1937, six miles from Winigan, six miles from New Boston, and six miles from Shelby, or as he always said, from “nowhere!”, the only son of Herbert and Theresa Peper, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Linneus High School. He married Janet K. Walker on February 14, 1959. To this union, three children were born, Sandra, Randall and Mark. He worked as a propane gas plant manager, drove charter buses on weekends, and most recently was a shuttle driver for the Terrace Retirement Community.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of 57 years, daughter, Sandra, and her significant other, Tony and her son, Tim; son, Randy and his wife, Cathy and their children, Amanda and Corey; and son Mark.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Nathaniel Lee Smith, one half-sister and five half-brothers.
