Jason Davis, 42, of Columbia, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021. He was born in Cooper County on March 2nd, 1979. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home, and services to follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Tracy Cook officiating. The family requests that masks be worn.
Jason was in a long time relationship with his love, Megan Evans, and together they had a son, Blake Austin Davis. Blake was Jason’s proudest accomplishment.
Jason was a proud business owner of Tru Concrete Solutions. He was a skilled tradesman, starting his career in water and sewer with his dad, Tony Crane, at Crane’s Construction. He ultimately found his passion in concrete work, learning the trade from his mom’s brothers.
Jason was filled with love and compassion. He had a way of making you feel better, just by being in his presence. He had the best smile, and even greater laugh. He knew no stranger and developed so many friendships throughout the years in the construction industry. He worked hard, and wanted to instill that same workmanship in his son, Blake. And although he worked hard, he always made time for fun and family. Jason had a passion for motocross, fishing, attending concerts with Megan, and spending time on the family farm in Boonville, where you could catch him at his favorite spot on the bluff, overlooking the Missouri River.
He was survived by his son, Blake Davis, and girlfriend, Megan Evans, of Jefferson City; parents, Linda and Tony Crane, of Columbia; grandmother, Barbara Brady, of Boonville; grandmother, Doris Crane, of Columbia; uncle, Mark Brady; uncle, Pat (Jayna) Brady; aunt, Sandra (Larry) Schlotzhauer; uncle, Greg (Pamela) Brady; uncle, Julius Brady; uncle, Keith (Deanna) Crane; aunt, Dana (Mark) Crane-Perry; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James A. Brady and W. Thomas “Bub” Crane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Educational Fund in the name of Jason’s son, Blake Davis. Checks can be made out to Blake Davis and sent to Central Bank at 155 Northstar Drive, Holts Summit MO 65043. Please put “Blake Davis Fund” in the memo section.
