Karl Alan Schweikert, age 56, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Kansas City, MO. He was born in Columbia, Missouri on July 3, 1958. Karl was the owner operator of Titan Insurance of Columbia. He was a true entrepreneur with many successful business ventures in his lifetime. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children; his dog, Titan. He enjoyed flying his Cessna 210 turbo prop. Karl and Diane especially loved traveling and watching their sons play the sports they love. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his life partner, Diane; his three sons: Eric (28), Alex (15), and Karsen (12); one brother, Kevin Schweikert (Rebecca); two sisters, Jan Curry (Larry) and Karen Aitkens (Eddie); along with numerous nieces and nephews. We can’t forget his dog, Titan. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Janie and Joe Schweikert; and one brother, Kenny Schweikert. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6th at 1:00 pm at Woodcrest Chapel in Columbia. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alex and Karsen Schweikert College Trust Fund.
