Visitation will take place Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Anne was born, May 14, 1931, in North Loop, Nebraska, the daughter of Carl Stude and Mary (Portis) Stude. On January 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Joseph Charles Himberger who preceded her in death. She was also a loving companion to Orville Corley for many years preceding his death.
Anne worked and retired from the City of Columbia Finance Department. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was also very active in the community as a volunteer with the Show Me State Games, an usher at Jesse Hall, volunteer at the Gift Shop at Columbia Regional Hospital, singer with the Columbia Chorale and a member of the Columbia Entertainment Company. She stayed active and enjoyed walking, exercising, and water aerobics. She will be remembered as a joyful woman who always wore a smile, lending a hand to anyone in need. She loved and cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching her granddaughter to bake.
Anne is survived by her children: Jody Himberger of Topeka, KS; Janet Matchett (Jeff) of St. Louis, MO; Jill Himberger (Linda Ochs) of Topeka, KS; grandchildren Becky Pritchett (Dave) of Richmond, VA; Danny Matchett (Mara) of St. Louis, MO; Ethan Matchett of St. Louis, MO; Joe Oldenburg of Boise, ID; great-grandchildren Lexi and Parker Pritchett. She was preceded in death by two sons Jeffery Joseph Himberger and Joseph Charles Himberger; two brothers Alwyn Stude and Art Stude; and one sister Carol Turner.
