Kevin D Wells

Kevin Dewayne Wells, 32, of Columbia, Formerly of Memphis, TN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his home. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4 PM – 7 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. An additional visitation will take place on Friday, March 24, 2023 from Noon-2 PM at M. J. Edwards Whitehaven Funeral Home in Memphis, TN. He will be laid to rest near relatives in Sims Chapel Church Cemetery in Michigan City, Mississippi.

Kevin was born in Memphis on April 7, 1990 the son of Tommy Lee Wells and Lititia Flemings who both survive. Kevin was a welder by trade and was employed by Hubbell Powers Systems, Centralia, MO and most recently at OCCI Engineering Contractors, Fulton, MO. On September 9, 2016 he was united in marriage to Tawanda (Hicks) Wells who survives his passing. He enjoyed fishing and loved music. He was known to be a bad cook so he really enjoyed Taco Bell, banana pudding and Momma’s homemade dressing. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and their team colors were his favorite colors. He had a beautiful smile that will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Kevin is survived by his wife: Tawanda; a step-daughter: Tiquana Hicks; his parents: Tommy Lee Wells; Lititia Flemings (Sonny Henley); his siblings: Donald Young, Jr. (Jeana Akers); Doneisha Young (Damitries Denny); Darius Flemings (Kaitlyn Fultz); Talitha Wells; his grandmothers: Rosie Coley; Carrie Johnson; his uncle: Calvin Flemings (Petina); aunties; Toria (Kris) Sykes; Mary (Alfredo) Hicks; Jacqueline (Richard) Thompson; God-babies: Artist Flemings; Jamyia Jefferies; cousins; nieces and nephews.
