Kira Breanne Shocks, one of God's many angels, gained her wings on January 9, 2023. Kira was fiercely protective over those she loved. She was full of sass and If you ever heard “you’re funny,” “little boy/girl” or an “mhm” with a head shake, you knew that was her way of saying I love you. Her big heart, warm presence and quiet elegance was felt by those around her at all times.
Before her departure, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Aaliyah Grace Mitchell-Shocks.
Kira’s gift to the world, Aaliyah Grace, gained her wings and joined her mother on January 11, 2023. She will be forever cherished and remembered as a ray of light in a time of grief.
Aaliyah Grace is survived by her father, Liam Mitchell; grandmother, Dyneen Shocks; grandmother, Lisa Hennessy; grandfather, Thom Mitchell; and her 3 aunts and 3 uncles.
Kira was preceded in death by her father, Larry “Jose” Shocks Jr., who passed away when she was 8 years old. She is survived by her mother, Dyneen Shocks; her siblings, Javier, Stephon, Taylor, and Amara Shocks; and many other loved ones.
Father and daughter, mother and daughter — together forever.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, followed immediately by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Graveside services and interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
