Lenora “Lee” Ann Tudor, 94, of Hallsville, passed away, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at The Neighborhoods. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Columbia, MO. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lee was born, January 10, 1924 in Bevier, Missouri the daughter of Louis Wild and Estella Mae (Alldredge) Wild both of whom have preceded Lee in death. Lee was Valedictorian of her 1941 graduating class from Bevier High School. She moved to Chicago to live with her sister to attend business school. When she finished school she assisted in the war efforts by working on the Norden Bomb Sight (a highly classified project). Upon returning to Central Missouri Lee worked as an administrative assistant at the University as well as in the offices of some local physicians. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri. Lee taught at Woodhaven and then in the Hallsville Elementary School for many years. Lee was blessed to be married three times: Alexander Crawford, Kenny Vale, and Jim Tudor all of whom have preceded her in death.
She was a member of Pi Lambda Theta, the White Shrine of Jerusalem #7 where she served as Worthy High Priestess, the Order of the Eastern Star-Boone County Chapter 290, Boone County Historical Society, Hallsville Historical Society, AARP and First Baptist Church of Columbia where she was a member for over 60 years. Lee will be remembered for her sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, reading, music and traveling. She loved to dance starting early with the dances the USO held when service men returned. She was a devoted mother and dedicated member of her church.
Lee is survived by her children: Louise (Crawford) Willsey of Mesa, AZ; Ginny (Vale) Pike and Jim of Defiance, MO; Carla (Vale) Brewer and Joe of Fayette, MO; Marty Tudor of Washington, MO; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her sister: Eleanor Harmon.
Memorials may be made to the Boone County Historical Society or First Baptist Church of Columbia.
