Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7pm.
Lucas was preceded in death by his mother Barbara “Moore” Thornton, and his grandmother Loretta Thornton. Survivors include the love of his life and soulmate Kayla Smith and their son Benjamin Hargus "Gus” Thornton, of the home, father Kevin Thornton(Lisa), of Sturgeon, MO, brothers Jake Thornton, of St. Louis, and Chris Padgett, of Columbia, grandparents Kenny Thornton and wife Annie, Of Huntsdale, step-brothers Jake Lee, of Columbia, and Jesse Fudge, of Hallsville, step-sisters: Jacqie Melloway(David), of Hallsville; Adrian Campbell, of Columbia, MO, the entire Smith family, of Columbia, and many Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .
Lucas was born June 7, 1991 to Kevin and Barbara Thornton; he later attended Hickman High School. He was an avid rock climber and had a fierce love for his profession in forestry.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Luke Thornton Memorial at Missouri Credit Union for his beloved son, Gus.
