Margaret G. Collins

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born on January 29, 1925, in Boone County the daughter of William and Emma (Perkins) McDaniel, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married in 1941 to Jird George, who preceded her in death in 1982. She later married Ed Collins in 1986; he preceded her in death in 2006.

She worked as a housekeeper for many companies throughout Boone County, retiring from the University of Missouri in 1987. She was a deeply religious woman, reading her Bible daily, and was a faithful member of Hallsville Baptist Church, where she loved going to church. Most important to her was spending time with her family, children and grandchildren alike.

She is survived by: her children: Joyce (Dennis) Bogart of Phoenix, AZ; Jerry (Judy) George of Hallsville; grandchildren: Jason (Amanda) George, Karla Wilcoxson, Melinda Netemeyer, Jerrilyn (Bruce) Carey, Gara (Bob) Halicky, Grant (Patty) Wright and Greg Wright; 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Memorials are suggested to Hallsville Baptist Church.
