Melvin was preceded in death by his wives Sue Acton and Ina Cunningham; parents G.W and Ruby Acton; two siblings: Monroe and Raymond Acton.
He was a loving father of his five children Linda Clemons (Doug); Beverly Adler (Alan); Kenny Acton (Barbara); Janice Coupland (Bernie); Jacqueline Acton; grandfather of six: Daniel, Laura, Brian, Megyn, Ben and Eva; four great-grandchildren: Dawn, Blake, Alex and Haley.
Melvin retired as a Clinical Instructor in the Journalism Department at the University of Missouri and was a talented musician. His humor and kindness will be missed by the entire family.
