Memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr Chris Cordes. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Norbert was born on February 26, 1928 in Mary’s Home, MO the son of John and Sophie (Hunephol) Evers who preceded him in death. He was married on April 15, 1952 in Jefferson City, MO to Rita Wekenborg who preceded him in death in 1976. In 1978, he married Annamae Klein who preceded him in death in 1997. He then was married to Katie Tenney who survives in Columbia, MO. Norbert was a salesman for a local radio station for many years, and was active in the Missouri Broadcaster’s Association. After retiring from full-time work, he worked part time at Nowell’s/Patricia’s/Mosers grocery for many years. He was a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus. Before his recent illness he enjoyed dancing at the Eagle’s club.
Survivors include: four sons, Daniel Evers (Rene Blagg) of Columbia, MO, Jeff Evers (Meeta) of St Louis, MO, Brion Evers (Kim) of Independence, MO and Stephen Evers (Tracy) of Columbia, MO; seven step-children, Peggy Klein Moore, Patricia Klein, Linda Klein Cheatham, Craig Klein, Jack Tenney, Byron Tenney and Joette Tenney Daigle; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Bruce Evers, two brothers and two sisters.
