Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO on November 8, 2018. Visitation is from 10:00am – 12:00pm with funeral and graveside services immediately following.
He was born to Sam “Cotton” Oscar Brown and Burdia Jane (Kerley) Brown of Blandville, Kentucky on December 30, 1956. Wayne grew up in Hallsville, MO and graduated from Hallsville High School in 1974. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
Wayne was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping and playing music. He was a one-of-a-kind man who was generous, loved life, and who always had a joke for every occasion.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 43 years; son Jason (Alison) Brown of Hallsville, MO; daughter Nicole Garner of Hallsville, MO; and daughter across the water Olga Lot Planting of Leek, Netherlands. Wayne had five grandchildren: Brittany and Jordan Brown, Dalton, Cody and Kolton Garner; three brothers and four sisters.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: James Edward, John Thomas and Vernard Leroy Brown, and his beloved dog Skynryd.
