Paul Eugene Wilson, 87, of Columbia, MO passed away, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Caring Hearts and Hands Hospice in Columbia, MO. A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Paul was born March 10, 1938, in Shirley, MO. He was the son of Harold Henry Wilson and Dorothy Lee (Caldwell) Wilson. In 1955, he graduated from Potosi High School in Potosi, MO. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and retired as a Columbia Public Schools teacher. He served his country in the US Army and Missouri National Guard for over 20 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Ginger Shern and husband Kyle; three grandchildren, Olivia Shern, Gabrielle Shern, and Peyton Shern, all of Columbia, MO; and one sister, Goldie Hailey of Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lindell Wilson and Lonnie Wilson; and two sisters, Mary Wilson and Betty Swift.
