Shirley A. Laux

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born on February 1, 1941, in Guthrie, MO the daughter of Charley and Frances Vivian (Orchard) Hendricks, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on November 29, 1958, in Fulton, MO to Robert J. “Bob” Laux, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 22, 2013.

Shirley worked as a sales associate for J.C. Penney’s for over 30 years. She also drove a bus for North Callaway Schools and volunteered at the Callaway Senior Center. She enjoyed working on the family farm, dancing, reading and sewing. She spent a lot of time traveling over most of the United States and Canada. She loved time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by: her children: Vicky (Paul) Brown of Kingdom City; Robert J. Laux, Jr. of Auxvasse; and Michelle (Mark) Heater of Columbia; grandchildren: Stephanie (Nate) Storm, Kyle (Ashly) Brown, Robert B. Laux, Brandy A. (Shannon Gamblian) Heater, and Cody A. Heater; great grandchildren: Shelton, Sara, Taylor, Mackenzie, Levi, Ryleigh, Brayden, Payten, and Cole.
