He was born on June 29, 1993, to Eileen Swanson and the late Mike Swanson.
Steven had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking and working in the yard. He also loved working on cars and took pride in fixing things with his hands. Some of his favorite memories were made helping his father with projects over the years, time that meant a great deal to him. Steven shared a special bond with his beloved pets, whom he loved dearly and cared for deeply.
Steven will be missed by his mother, Eileen; uncles, aunts, cousins, and a great number of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mike.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on May 22, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
