Teresa Renee Curtis, 59, of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 10, 2018 at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
Teresa was born to Delores (Curren) Bradford and Anthony Windsor on January 19, 1959 in St. Louis, MO. On July 27, 2007 she was united in marriage to Michael Randy Curtis who survives in their home. She was a graduate of David H. Hickman High School.
Teresa enjoyed many things in life like swimming, singing, dancing, traveling and visiting with friends. She was a talented artist, maker of jewelry, woodcarver and cook. She had two passions in life: her faith and her family. She was a Charter Member at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the youth choir and served as the unofficial security officer she had her eyes on everyone who walked through the doors. Within her family Teresa was a beautiful daughter and sister, a loving wife, a mother and grandmother that loved each child in her own way. She loved cooking and BBQing for her entire family; if she BBQed for you, she loved you.
Teresa is survived by her husband: Michael Randy Curtis; three children: Shameka (Edward) Windsor of Columbia; Brianna (Erick) Hanson of St. Louis; B.K. Hanson of Columbia; one brother: Edward Dwayne (Lucille) Windsor of Columbia; one sister: Sylvia (Herbert) Badford-Jackson of Columbia; grandchildren: Talliah Smith; Kwanta Smith; Erick Campbell; Aaliyah Campbell; Nala Windsor; Edward McKee, Jr.; mother: Delores Bradford of Columbia; father: Anthony “Tony” Windsor of St. Louis; Michael’s siblings: Shirley Curtis; Patricia Brown; Clara Curtis; Debra Weber; Anthony Curtis; Jenettta Curtis and a host of relatives.
Teresa was preceded in death by one brother: Edgar “Brad” Bradford, Jr. and two brothers in law: Perry Curtis and Jerry Curtis.
