Thomas (Tom) Wayne Harmon, 54, of Columbia, MO passed away July 16, 2025. He was born in Columbia, MO on July 10, 1971, to Kathryn Grace (Harmon) Giesing and Kenneth Wayne Harmon. He was a graduate of Hickman High School and attended DeVry University to study business administration.
Tom loved to work with his hands and brought a wildly creative talent to all that he did. He had a passion for music and spent his life singing and playing guitar. He was a songwriter, music composer, and a karaoke master, for which he was well known in Columbia and the surrounding area. He was extremely inventive with his cooking and took great pleasure in feeding friends and family, fearless of how many pounds of potatoes and meat the crowd might consume.
Tom was self-employed as an independent contractor, and thrived at building, remodeling, and applying his artistic skills to create one-of-a-kind bathrooms, kitchens, decks and landscaping. He welcomed the challenge of repairing equipment and vehicles in his spare time. He had a lightning-fast mind that lit up his sharp sense of humor, and few things brought him more joy than sharing a good laugh. He is greatly missed by those who loved him!
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Grace Giesing (Norbert); his father, Ken Harmon (Jane); and his sisters, Mary Harmon (Joy Durham) of Kansas City and Kari Reid (Josh) of Columbia. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Wilborn (Megan) of Denver, Colorado; his daughters, Victoria Williams of Columbia and Alyssa Liddy (Nathaniel) of St. Louis; and his grandchildren, Oliver and Elijah Liddy.
He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, and many dear friends.
