

Vickie Toalson, 76, of Columbia, MO passed away, Monday, November 10, 2025, at her home in Columbia. Vickie was born, April 28, 1949, in St. Louis, MO to Charlie and Marion Kiger Waterkotte. She was a 1967 graduate of Lindbergh High School in St. Louis and attended Meramec College. For 25 years, she worked as a Travel Agent in St. Louis and Columbia, and she owned a personal embroidery business for several years. On September 17, 1983, she married Williams Toalson in St. Louis, and they spent the next 42 years together. Her most loved job was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved taking her kids to their sporting and school events and attended all of them she could. In 1987, they moved back to Columbia to be closer to family. She recently served as a volunteer for the Boone County Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband Williams “Bill” Toalson of Columbia; children, Jodi Rowe (Lisa Clair), David (Meghan) Rowe, and Charlie Toalson all of Columbia; three grandkids, Will & Avery Rowe and Ricky Toalson; siblings, Mark (Susan) Waterkotte, Rocky (Sandy) Waterkotte, Gail (Terry) Moore, Tom Waterkotte, Nancy Riordan, Ricky (Melissa) Waterkotte, and Pat (Tina) Waterkotte; twenty-three nieces and nephews and forty-three great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association or the Boone County Historical Society.
Friends and family may gather from 4-6pm, Tuesday, November 18th at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Her urn will be placed later in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
