Vita Drexler, 89, of Columbia, MO passed away Friday, April 15, 2022. As per her wishes, no services will be held; her urn will be placed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Vita was born June 3, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to Vasil and Petrina Avron Athanas. After moving to Columbia, she worked several years for GTE, Sinclair Nursing School, and Columbia Insurance Company. She loved to play Golf and Bridge with her friends at the Columbia Country Club, and taking trips to Las Vegas.
She is survived by her children, William Drexler and Kathryn Drexler of Columbia; granddaughter, Hanna Drexler; sister, Dee Lowther of St. Louis; several nieces and nephews, a loving extended family, and her golf and bridge friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sigmund Drexler; siblings, Elizabeth, Dora, Noma, and Arthur; and by her parents.
