

Aymar Dore’, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the age of 85. Aymar was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and has been a resident of Foxworth for the past 20 years. He began working in the restaurant business at the age of 16 and has worked for Brennan’s, Commander’s Palace, and LeRuth’s in New Orleans. Aymar was the owner and chef of Aymar’s Restaurant in Foxworth. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid LSU and Saints football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Lucille Dore’; a sister, Irene Fuslier; and a brother, Darrell Dore’. Aymar is survived by his wife of 42 years, Liz Dore’; two daughters, Diane Dore’ Plaisance and Doris Dore’ Dugas; a son, Aymar J. Dore’, Jr. and his wife, Sherry; two sisters, Theresa Thibodeaux and Marie Melacon; a sister-in-law, Kathy Prisk; a brother, Melvin Dore’; a brother-in-law, Jan Johnson; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service at Shiloh Baptist Church officiated by Father Tommy Conway on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 2:30pm with a visitation at the church from 10:00am until service time. The burial will follow in the church cemetery assisted by Jacob Boone, Josh Boone, Eli Johnson, Reese Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Luke Miciello serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Johnson, Brian Johnson, Mark Johnson, Jason Boone, Mike Johnson, and Chris Johnson.
