Barney Patrick Bedwell, age 64 of Foxworth, MS passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. Patrick was employed in the oil field and later in construction. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Patrick will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be truly missed.
Mr. Bedwell was preceded in death by his parents, Louie D. Bedwell and Grace Spiers Bedwell; and brother, Louie Douglas Bedwell. He is survived by his daughters, Sara Ahner (Bryan Barrentine) of Vicksburg, MS, and Emily Bedwell (Taurin Robinson) of Foxworth; a son, Barney Bedwell of Sandy Hook, MS; three sisters, Margaret Miller (Bob), Deidre Green (Mike), and Debbie Eaton, all of Foxworth; a brother, Perry Joe Bedwell of Foxworth; and two grandchildren, Heaven Leigh Merritt, and Sunny Faith Duett.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the funeral home where friends may visit from 2:00pm until service time. Interment will follow at Ten Mile Creek Cemetery.
