

Bobbie Nell Meaders, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born in Scott County, Mississippi to John and Myrtle Bell Sessions. Bobbie lived and worked in Columbia as a nurse for many years, working at Marion General Hospital, working in the ambulance service, and was a longtime nurse for Dr. Richard Campbell. She and her husband moved to Oxford, Mississippi in 1977, to Prentiss, Mississippi in 1988, and came home to Columbia in 2000. Bobbie was a woman of deep faith and was known to read her Bible every night. She loved her family and loved her poodles, Little Man and Candy Girl; but, will be remembered for her love for her Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma James; two brothers, J.L. Sessions and Curtis Sessions; a granddaughter, Nikki Sauls; and her beloved husband Charles Meaders. Bobbie is survived by two daughters, Mica Joiner and Debra Bombka; a son, Donald Meaders; a brother, Charlie Sessions (Hazel); seven grandchildren, Dawna Stringer (Josh), Heather Morgan (Anthony), Pat Sauls III (Katie), Michael Meaders, Brittany Lowe (Kendall), Shelby Meaders, and Katie Meaders; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service for Bobbie at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in the Newton Masonic Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi.
