Charles Eugene Dunaway

Charles Eugene Dunaway, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life to be in the presence of God on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 59. Eugene was born in Columbia, Mississippi and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. He retired from Walmart where he worked for 25 years at the distribution center in Brookhaven. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing with his dog, Bingo, and worshiping at Mount Sinai Church of God. Eugene never met a stranger, made friends easily, and will be remembered as a good hearted person who would help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Glen Dunaway. Eugene is survived by his mother, Carolyn Dunaway Blansett and step-father, J.T. Blansett. There will be a visitation for Eugene at Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend A.D. Gammill, will be at 11:00am on Friday, October 30, 2020 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Church of God Cemetery.
