Charles Ed McCain, age 83 passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his residence in Sandy Hook, MS. He served in the Army National Guard and was a residential carpenter by trade. Charles was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church and often volunteered his time and talents to help others.
Mr. McCain was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward McCain and Martha Stogner McCain; a sister, Patricia Ann McCain; and brother, Carl “Ben” McCain. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 62 years, Norma McCain of Sandy Hook; his daughter, Lacey Smith (Dustin) of Foxworth, MS, a son, Jeff McCain (Pam) of Sandy Hook; a sister, Brenda Martin of Odessa, TX; a brother, Jim McCain of Sandy Hook; six grandchildren, Tiffany McCain, Ty McCain, Maggie Smith, Marley Smith, Sara Marie, and Amber Hemphill and two great-grandchildren, Charlie McCain, and Scarlet McCain.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 18, 2022 at the church. Reverend Zach Smith and Reverend Carl Dickens will officiate at the service and burial will follow at Carson Springs Cemetery assisted by Randall McCain, Jamie McCain, Dewayne McCain, Brett McCain, Corey McCain, and Ty McCain as pallbearers.
