Cheryl Cook, age 57 passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at her residence in Vancleave, MS. She was a graduate of Ocean Springs High School where she was a cheerleader. Cheryl became a registered nurse and worked 24 years in various places including Baptist Montclair in Birmingham, AL, Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, MS, and Cedar Lake Surgical in Biloxi, MS.
Cheryl had an outgoing personality and was kind to everyone. She enjoyed shopping, movies and exercising, and particularly loved makeup, fashion, and interior decorating. Most of all, Cheryl treasured her family and when her health was in decline, she was able to stay positive by spending time with them.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Morgan T. "Terry" Delcuze, Sr.; brothers, Morgan T. Delcuze, Jr. and Keith Loy Delcuze; and a niece Shealynn Haubert.
Those who will cherish her memory include her husband, Stacey Cook; her daughter, Hannah Celeste Cook; a son, Travis Dale Cook; mother, Jane Caldwell; a granddaughter, Sophia Cook; a great-niece, Lyla Haubert; and nephews, Skyler Delcuze and Christian Delcuze.
A visitation for Cheryl will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Reverend Reed Houston will officiate and burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Foxworth, MS assisted by Lane Fortenberry, Tim Fortenberry, Todd Fortenberry, Skyler Delcuze, Hayden Smith and Holden Smith serving as pallbearers.
