David Stampley, age 64 passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at his residence in Columbia, MS. He was a residential painter who was known for his quality painting and work ethics. Outside of his trade, David was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed playing baseball, and spending time with his family he loved so dearly.
Mr. Stampley was preceded in death by his parents, Richard “Sonny” Stampley, Jr. and Georgia Faye Temples Stampley; a sister, Taretha Pace; and a brother, Dewayne Stampley. He is survived by his daughter, Somer Stampley of Brooklyn, NY; his son, Matthew Acosta of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Dianne Rains (Stuart) of Diamondhead, MS, and Sandra Beard (James) of Gulfport, MS; a brother, Danny Stampley (Belinda) of Columbia; and his companion, Amber Fairburn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
