Doris W. Goar

Doris W. Goar, age 82, of Columbia, MS passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was a member of Woodlawn Church and enjoyed gardening flowers, reading, bird watching, and especially spending quality time with her family.

Doris was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Ray Goar, and husband, Charles Albert Goar; her son, David Goar; parents, Winford Patterson and Esther Smith Patterson; sister, Rheda Beth Morgan; brother, Donald Patterson; and a grandson, Dennis Ray Goar. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Powe (Steve); her son, Dennis Goar (Connie); a brother, Von Olan Patterson; five grandchildren, Anna Howard (Brandon), Sarah Brumfield (Chris), Mitch Goar (Lauren), Carrie Williamson, and Audrey Goar; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Goar Family Cemetery assisted by Brandon Ellis, Cody Flynt, Warren Bennett, Mitch Goar, Chris Brumfield and Keith Sanford serving as pallbearers.
