Dorothy Merle Johnson

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husbands, Levester Johnson, Jimmy Herrin, and J.R. Johnson; daughters, Kathy Johnson, and Peggy Pullen; sons, L.V. Johnson, and Bill Johnson; father, Mr. Childress; mother, Velma Sistrunk Childress; and brother, William Hooten. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Beach (Wayne) of Lumberton, MS, Joy Thornhill of Georgia, Michelle Johnson (Henry) of Columbia, and Angela Herrin of Hattiesburg, MS; a sister-in-law, Nell McGill; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the funeral home where family will receive friends one hour prior to services with Reverend Jimmy Johnson and Reverend W.D. Hibley presiding. Interment will follow at Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery assisted by Trinity Sistrunk, Conner Beach, Tavis Beach, Hunter Raybourn, Henry Johnson, and Brandon Pullen serving as pallbearers.
