Jaden Lea Powell, a lifelong resident of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God's presence on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the age of 27. She had an unconditional love for everyone she met and was loved by everyone who met her. Jaden loved being around people and delighted in being the center of attention. She enjoyed watching TV and listening to music. Jaden had a hard life filled with pain and struggles. The family is rejoicing in the knowledge that she is now whole and pain free in the presence of God.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Fred Powell and two uncles, Randy Cornwall and Mitchell Powell. Jaden is survived by her parents, Angel and Jermy Gibson; a brother, Zachary Gibson; and her grandmother, Carol Powell.
There will be a funeral service for Jaden at Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 12:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until service time. She will be laid to rest in the Emmanuel Baptist Church cemetery assisted by Scott Powell, Joey Powell, Farrell Powell, Josh Powell, Cole Taylor, Mike Blair, and Allen Powell serving as pallbearers.
