On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Jesse B. Elmore, Jr., of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life into God's presence at the age of 78. Jesse was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to Trilba and Jesse Elmore, Sr. and was raised in Marion County. He graduated from West Marion High School in 1965 and attended Pearl River Community College before answering the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military career, he returned home to Foxworth in 1987 where he continued a life defined by service, generosity, and care for others. He will be remembered as a man whose life was marked by kindness and a willingness to help anyone in need. Whether a lifelong friend or a stranger, Jesse was the person you could call when you needed a helping hand-he would be there, often with a quick smile and an easy laugh that brought comfort and joy to those around him. A gifted carpenter and woodworker, Jesse found great fulfillment in building furniture for friends and family, each piece crafted with skill and love. He also shared his talents through volunteer work at his church, Foxworth First Baptist, quietly using his skills to support and uplift his community. Jesse had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome and valued. His warmth, generosity, and quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He lived a life rooted in compassion and service, and his legacy will continue in the many lives he touched.
