Joshua D. “J D” McKenzie, a lifelong resident of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 41. He had many interests that include a love of poetry, all types of music, collecting knives, and collecting angel figurines. J D enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers, target shooting, and collecting guns. He would help anyone who needed help and will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, his love for dogs, and his deep love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Winfred and Wilma McKenzie; his maternal grandfather, Recie Morgan; and an uncle, Robert McKenzie. J D is survived by his mother and step-father, Shelia and Eugene Ryals; his father and step-mother, Mark and Robin McKenzie; two brothers, John McKenzie and Jared McKenzie; his maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Peggy and Donnie McKenzie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service for J D will be at Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00pm until service time. Burial will follow in the Richland Creek Church of God Cemetery.
