Rose Marie Newsom, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God's presence on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born in Turlock, California to Henry and Philomena Christensen. Rose Marie committed her life to Christ in her teens and was dedicated to sharing the truth written by the Apostle Paul. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four older sisters, Sylvia, Marian, Shirley, Henrietta. Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Mickey Newsom and several nieces and nephews in California.
