Heaven got a lot louder on Thursday, January 21, 2021 when Rosemary Bedwell Cox passed from this life into the presence of God at the age of 74. She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to Bill and Elsie Bedwell and was a longtime resident of Marion County until moving to Ocean Springs, Mississippi in 2012 to be close to her daughter. Rosemary was a hairdresser and owned her own shop for many years in Marion County. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always joking around. Rosemary will be remembered as a “barrel of fun” and could always make others laugh and smile, while uplifting spirits of those going through difficult times. She was a woman of strong faith in God. She attended Mays Creek Church of God in Foxworth while living in Columbia and Mosaic Church when she moved to Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Earl Cox. Rosemary is survived by a daughter, Marci Lafferty and her husband, Phillip; a son, Bill Cox; two sisters, Rachel Pinkham and Ramona Forbes; two brothers, Ronnie Bedwell and his wife, Holly and Ralph Bedwell and his wife, Diane; three grandchildren, Victoria Lafferty, Harry Lafferty, and Hannah Cox; her faithful canine companion, MoJo "Mosey," who brought her immense joy; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. The family will gather at the graveside in the Henry Thomas Cemetery on Mays Creek Road at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 for a service officiated by Tim Bedwell. The pallbearers assisting are Harry Lafferty, Rusty Jones, Tyler Smith, Ancel Jones, Corky Jones, and Mark Bedwell.
