Seaborn "Seaby" Lott, age 66, of Columbia, MS passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a member of Improve Baptist Church and retired after more than 30 years in the oilfield. After his retirement, he enjoyed farming cattle. Seaby was a hard worker and took pride in doing his best in all things.
Seaby was an entertainer in many ways bringing people together through cookouts and peanut boils. His character and personality made him special and unique, and his sense of humor was unlike any other making him unforgettable. Seaby had the ability to make everyone smile, and his storytelling most entertaining and like none other. He will be greatly missed.
Seaby was preceded in death by his mother, Francille Morris Lott. He is survived by his wife, Pam Lott; daughter, Candi Hobgood (Lamar); a son, Blake Lott; his father, Olan Lott; a sister, Lisa Williamson (Copi); six grandchildren, Zachary Lott, Alexis Lott, Layla Lott, Devon Hobgood, Colton Hobgood, and Valerie Hobgood; two great-grandchildren, Saylor Lott, and Ivey Louge; and a special cousin, Marcia Lowery.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Reverend Darel Daniels will officiate and burial will follow at Lott Cemetery in Lamar County assisted by Zachary Lott, Devon Hobgood, Mitch Ham, Quinn Belk, Scott Lowery, and Ricky Gill serving as pallbearers.
