William Charles “Bill” Thompson, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 62. He was born in Richmond, Virginia and has been a longtime resident of Marion County. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia where he was active in The Men’s Bible Class. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Mary Annette Thompson; two grandchildren, Keylee Stampley and Lynlei Stampley. Bill is survived by two daughters, Ashley Boone and April (David) Stampley; a sister, Rebecca (Gary) Haygood; seven grandchildren, Tyler Armstrong, Gavin Armstrong, Phoenix Boone, Kinsley Boone, Christopher Stampley, Brody Stampley, and Tyler Schultz. The funeral service for Bill will be private.
