Bette J McKinnon

BALLENTINE – Funeral services for Bette D. McKinnon, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Irmo/St.Andrews Chapel. The family will receive friends after services.

Mrs. McKinnon was born October 6, 1929 in Mooresville, NC and passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was the daughter of the late John and Rosa Davis. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1948. Mrs. McKinnon was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church. She was employed by Lockheed Martin as an Engineer for 33 years in Orlando, FL. Mrs. McKinnon was a late blooming artist who painted prolifically. Many of her best works are decorated clocks and special work built by her devoted husband of 62 years.

Mrs. McKinnon is survived by her husband, Billy McKinnon; sisters, Elva Fetner of Orlando, FL and Jo Haselden of Columbia, SC; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chapin United Methodist Church Building Fund at 415 Lexington Ave., Chapin, SC 29036.
