Born in Liberty, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Roy Lee Bryant and Florence Ann Parker Bryant. She was a graduate of Baker High School in Louisiana. As the matriarch of her family, she had a love for animals and a passion for sewing.
Surviving are her son, Donnie Doherty and grandchildren, Dyonah Doherty, Jonah Doherty, Christopher Doherty, Nicole Doherty, Romi Minton, Brendon Hu, London Hu, Jayden Minton and Jackson Minton;
Also surviving is her companion of many years, Warren Hill, Sr., and his family, Warren Hill, Jr., Warren Hill, III, Elliot Hill, Amanda Hill, and Amelia Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Doherty.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel.
