He was the amazing son of Rebecca Dillon and Craig Baxley and the amazing brother to Christian Blake Baxley.
Brock was the most loving, compassionate son, brother, father, grandson, and friend. To know him was to love him and his infectious smile. He graduated from Lexington High School in 2010, where he competed in numerous sports to later be voted as most athletic from his peers. He excelled in football for the Lexington Wildcats and aspired to play college ball and follow in his brother’s footsteps. God had other plans for Brock. In 2010 Brock survived a collision caused by a drunk driver. He became a spokesman across the state at different high schools, events and even to soldiers at Fort Jackson for the SC Highway Patrol and MADD, educating about the dangers of drunk driving. He had an extreme passion for the outdoors. He adored hitting the water for fishing and duck hunting with his many friends that he chose as his brothers. He was obsessed with hunting and you could find him in the woods every chance he had with his brother, dad, friends, and his most awesome buddy - his “Pa”! He and Blake had been on a two week birthday celebration for Brock’s 30th in Kentucky. He was fulfilling a childhood dream of bow hunting world class deer. They were traveling home when the horrific car accident occurred.
Brock found his true calling in life when he became a father. He devoted his whole heart and soul to his two precious children, Harper and Preston. He was the absolute ultimate Daddy and loved to make them laugh.
Brock is survived by his parents, Becky Dillon and Craig Baxley (Tracie); his brother, Blake Baxley (Carolyn); children, Harper Amodio (mother Lauren) and Preston Baxley (mother Amanda). He also leaves behind his cherished grandparents, Jimmy and Jane Dillon, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his loving girlfriend, Stephanie.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers and condolences. Life should not only be lived, but also celebrated.
Please join Brock’s family and friends in the Celebration of his Life on December 18, 2021, 12 noon at
Lexington Wildcat Stadium, 2463 Augusta Highway, Lexington, SC 29072. Brock’s favorite, hamburgers and hot dogs, will be provided.
We ask anyone wanting to participate after the celebration walk arm in arm across the field one last time in his memory because we all know that was his dream to run that field just one more time.
