David E Howell

LEXINGTON- David E. Howell Jr., 52, of Lexington, beloved husband, father and grandfather died Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Born in Jacksonville, FL, June 20, 1960, he was the son of Jane C. Howell of Durham, NC. He graduated from Irmo High school in 1978, then honorably served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was an employee of Ansaldo (Union Switch & Signal) for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Renee Howell; son, Michael Howell, daughter-in-law, Lindsey Howell, currently stationed at Fort Bliss El Paso, TX; daughters, Sarah Howell of Lexington and Robin Pride, son-in-law, Donald Pride III, of Columbia; his beloved granddaughter; Ashlynn Nicole Howell; sisters; Tammy White; brother-in-law, Tom White of Moore, SC; Martha Leonard of Clayton, NC and Lorraine Howell of Greer, SC; nieces and nephews, Casey Lehmann, Melissa Leonard, Allison Neal, Aaron Windham, Michael and Matthew Leonard, Amanda Windham and Alden Windham; great-nephews, Van Windham-Jenson, Connor Neal, Ethan and Wesley Lehmann.

A graveside service will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 with visitation with family and friends after service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
