
COLUMBIA - A funeral service will be held for Dunber P. Dolo, 55, at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the church. Patrick was born February 28, 1961, in Nimba County, Liberia to the union of the late Dunber Patrick Dolo Sr. and Kou Dolo. His early childhood was in Nimba County where he attended grade school and graduated from Sanniquellie High School. His family later migrated to Monrovia, Liberia. Upon his arrival in Monrovia, he joined the NSA where he served for many years until 1985. He came to the United States of America in 1985 in pursuit of a dream. He resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. and worked in the transportation business until 1994. In 1994, he started his own business as a restaurant/club owner. In 1996, he moved his family to Columbia, S.C. where he continued the business as a restaurant/club owner. He was a very hard working man who would do everything to support and care for his family. He was a focused and very successful businessman. Patrick was generous and had a very outgoing personality. He loved people and he was loved by many in his life and the community. He touched the lives of many people. He will forever be remembered by so many. He departed this life on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at his home in Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Regina Dolo. Now he can reunite with them in eternity. He leaves to mourn his ex-wife, Miata Jacqueline Precious Dolo; daughter, Mehlekei Zoe Dolo; grandson, Sincere Anderson; son, Dunber Pious Dolo; granddaughter, Zaliyah; grandson, Elijah; son, Donovan Adolphus Dolo; daughter, Massa Precious Dolo, all of Columbia; daughter, Princess, USA; stepdaughter, Hope Broderick Watson (Momo Watson); stepson, Columbus Broderick; grandson, Ephrain; granddaughter, Ephrainma, all residing in Monrovia, Liberia; brothers; Adolphus Dolo, Wuo Pious Dolo, Ceprin Dolo, Jonathan Dolo, Boone Dolo, all of Monrovia, Liberia; cousins, Emmanuel Kamara, Musu Kamara, Joanna Kamara, aunties, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family of Patrick wishes to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all our families, friends, Father Sandy and his entire congregation at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church for their support during this difficult time. We would also like to extend thanks to the Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel in Columbia for all of their assistance. May the soul of our beloved Father rest in perfect peace. Gone Too Soon.
