A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends to honor Erika Marie Knigge will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
Mrs. Erika, 60, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born in Parsons, KS, she was the daughter of Mary Vogrin and the late John Richard Littleton. She was a loving and caring soul and expressed it in many ways. From taking care of her flowers in her garden to cooking and baking wonderful meals and desserts for her family. Some of her favorite things in life included eating at restaurants where she could enjoy a fine glass of wine.
She was also a great bowler, enjoyed traveling, and always on the go. It took very little convincing; all you had to do was ask if she wanted to go somewhere. She loved every job she had and was successful everywhere she worked, but her most precious job was caring for her children. She was a team mother for many youth hockey teams in Germany, and baseball and football teams in the United States. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely. She truly had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Ian Knigge; mother, Mary Littleton; daughters, Kirstin Gross (Jens) and Denise Klaus (Bernhard); son, Kyle Knigge; grandchildren, Jonas and Nathalie; and her beloved dogs, Loki and Jellybean.
She was predeceased by her father, John Richard Littleton.
