Gussie Bell Martin

A graveside service for Gussie Bell Martin, 93, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Ralph G. Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the hour of the service on Saturday morning at Greenlawn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. She was born January 22, 1917 in Wilkes County, GA to the late Willie Lonnie Carithers and Lois Roberts Carithers. Mrs. Martin was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2659 Two Notch Road Columbia, SC.

Surviving are her loving grandchildren, Don Martin (wife Sheri), Staci Robinson (husband Andrew), Dana Martin, and Mandi Martin. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Lem J.G. Martin; and her two sons, John E. Martin and David J. Martin.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Martin’s special friend Lucille Garrett for her loving care and devotion.
