Harrell Darnell Hilliard

Ridgeway: Harrell Darnell Hilliard, 58, of Ridgeway, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 13, 2011. Born September 9, 1953, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Reverend Arnold B. and Margaret Montgomery Hilliard. Darnell was a member of the Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed attending activities at the church and being a part of his church family. Darnell lived at home in Ridgeway with his step-mother, Sarah Hilliard for nearly 40 years.

Darnell is survived by his step-mother, Sarah Hilliard; a brother, Arnold Hilliard, Jr. of Waynesboro, VA; sisters, Vivian Evans of Clear Water, FL, Leila Sinclair of Edgemoor, SC, Elizabeth and husband Rev. Mark Riester of Swansea, SC; grandmother, Dorothy Bass of Ridgeway; as well as several nieces and nephews, friends and family, and his loving dog “ Happy”.

The funeral service for Darnell will be held at the Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2 o’clock, with The Rev. Harry Varn and The Rev. Harry Widener officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o’clock. Burial will follow in Aimwell Cemetery located in Ridgeway, SC.
